AC Milan are expected to announce that Stefano Pioli will part ways with the club before the final game of the season, scheduled for next weekend. This will allow the fans to give the manager a proper farewell.

Pioli has been the head coach for Milan since October 2019, when he took over from Marco Giampaolo. Since then, he has taken the club back to the Champions League, won a Scudetto and reached the semi-finals of the Champions League.

However, the manager’s tenure is now coming to an end and as reported by Gianluca Di Marzio last night (via MilanNews), the exit will be announced on Monday or Tuesday. This will then allow the fans to give Pioli a proper farewell against Salernitana at San Siro.

The journalists also added that Milan are yet to decide their next manager, even if they only have a few candidates on the list for now. The decision should be made within the next week, though, so the fans won’t have to wait too long for the conclusion of this saga.

In the meantime, especially after the defeat last night, Pioli will want to end the season on a good note next weekend in front of the fans at San Siro.
