Manchester United have a new owner, and the new boss has made a bold announcement. After several seasons assuming whether Kylian Mbappe to Man United was a possibility, fans received news that the club will never go for the Frenchman. In spite of his takeover, bringing in hundreds of millions to the club, owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has clarified that the Frenchman will not be a target for his club.

France’s prolific No.10 is out of contract at the end of the season and nearly every big club in Europe has taken interest. However, his mammoth salary and signing bonus make it difficult for many clubs to even think of signing the forward. United’s owner shared similar thoughts, as he dismissed the possibility of Kylian Mbappe donning a United kit in the near future.

It's not that clever to buy Mbappe. Anyone can figure that one out. It's even more challenging to find the next Mbappe or Bellingham or Roy Keane. Sir Jim Ratcliffe via the Cycling Club podcast

After several seasons of reckless spending on players that have failed to bring in success, several fans see Ratcliffe’s approach as something that will change the club’s fortunes. As said earlier, the new owner is doing his part to make United the ‘best club in the World’ again!

Jonathan David, Harry Maguire and more – Manchester United’s transfer plan revealed

Following Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s take-over of the club on December 24, Manchester United have undergone a change in transfer policy. Initial impressions and comments reveal that the Red Devils will no longer try to bring in top talent through big money transfers, but will seek to develop and nurture success. At the heart of the discussion is Lille striker Jonathan David.

As per several reports, the Canadian has a huge admirer in Ratcliffe, who has sent scouts to monitor his performances in Ligue 1. His numbers – 21 goals in 36 appearances is second only to Kylian Mbappe himself! With a large part of United’s struggles this season coming in front of goal, reinforcements in the attacking department are expected. The Red Devils are the lowest scorers in the upper half of the table and have scored two less than Luton Town!

Harry Maguire, despite his fallout with Erik ten Hag earlier this season, will not be sold as per multiple reports. The defender was extremely close to leaving the club last summer, when West Ham United came knocking for the defender’s services. The deal fell off due to Maguire’s decision and come this season, United are in no mood to let go of their centre-back. It is understood that the club value his experience and Ten Hag having taken a liking to him as well in the later part of the season.
